Fast Company's blog is hosting its annual BlogJam (a tradition on the anniversary date of their blog) where they've invited 75 bloggers to blog to their heart's content over the next 48 hours.
My first contribution is a story of a remarkable customer experience I had. And, although, I don't mention it there, it reinforced for me the idea in this age of "meaningful" work that it's no more "spiritual" to run a yoga studio roll-up than a sandwich shop.
I recall some of these lessons from The Market Grill with mneumonics: Focus, Feelings, and Freeing (because of a sense of Freedom). You'll see what I mean...
I'll cross-post later this week.
Actually, I learned almost as much from spending a few hours at Pike Place Market and the surrounding area (see also: blogosphere as public marketplace metaphor) as I did at the entire Gnomedex conference. (And the conference was great.)
Why? I'm not sure it's all Pike Place Market's doing. It's certainly not the first time I'd been there. Like most folks, I don't tend to see nuances the second time - or third or fourth time. Or I tend to see what I expect to see. I know it will be valuable to share why and how my mind was more open than usual that just-ripe-for-sun-jam-preserves June afternoon in Seattle. So I'll work on that post too.
