Hugh's right.
I was talking to Todd today on a phone (one-to-ones are vital in the "soaking in inspiration and information" stage of creativity and heck, I hadn't talked to him in a long while).
He recently discovered he has high cholesterol. He could take one of the fancy designer drugs selling like hotcakes to lower it. Yet there's no proof taking one of the best selling drugs prevents heart disease his doc told him.
No matter. We want the magic pill, the silver bullet, the shortcut. Never mind that diet and exercise does reduce the risk of heart disease and the drug is a question mark. You simply pop a pill in your mouth. But improving your diet and exercise, ughh, that sounds effortful - even distasteful - if you've never tried it.
I'm glad to hear Todd is seeing a dietician. After just one week, Todd says he's noticed side effects: he's lost weight and is feeling, well, "remarkable."
As you've already figured out by now, I mostly discuss diet and exercise on this blog ;-)
