"The reason can give nothing at all
Like the response to desire." - Wallace Stevens
What are my qualifications to host a "beyond 'The Secret'" series?
Am I an expert on abundance?
Am I credentialed in manifestation?
Am I hailing from the right lineage of teachers and masters?
(Forgodsakes last week she only had four dollars in her wallet. What does she know?)
Do you see the trap you've fallen into if you believe I have to be an expert? That I need a diploma in manifestation? That you'd like to talk to my stockbroker and financial advisor for evidence that I know squat about what I'm talking about?
Oh, I may be tempted to give you some "credentials" but the Universal laws don't give a damn.
If you need my qualifications to listen, there's a good chance you're holding a belief that maybe you need to be "certified" or "anointed" in some manner to create what you desire. Maybe you're thinking you've got to "pay your dues" and "earn" your creations. Or, at least, be able to prove yourself a worthy enough investment for the Universe to take notice (as if it operates as a bank or venture capitalist).
If you need my qualifications to hear, there's a good chance you believe that someone else, anyone else, is granting you this unconditioned and unlimited wisdom, power, love already innate within you.
You don't earn your way through good works, or prove your worthiness, or chalk up enough merits and pay your indulgences.
And She doesn't require a recommendation, a lead, or your ROI analysis. She doesn't require a return on her investment whatsoever.
Grace is free! Absolutely Absolute vast & free.
Let's just say that my sincere desire to have these mysteries revealed is more than enough. And that's enough for me, and it's enough for you.
I understand though; there's oftimes I don't trust that the very tenderest fluttering of love and willingness are going to suffice either.
I have been for so many years absorbed in a quest and exploration of the transcendent otherworlds of formless and Absolute consciousness. Currently, I find myself totally smitten by the tangible, and Earth herself. And the alchemical union of the formless with form.
My favorite Tarot card captivates me. It is the Princess of Disks (to the right), representing "earthiness of the earth."
"Here we have an attempt to translate into a picture the spiritual quality of earth, eternally pregnant and containing in its fertility the unwritten cypher of cosmic lore." - "Princess of Disks" interpretation, Instructions for Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot Deck
Eternally pregnant. I adore that image of creation. This devotion, that desire to touch this earthiness of the earth for my self, more than suffices... for earnest desire ruffles the wind and moves the mountains and it is the way of manifesting in Mother, in matter.
Be wary of experts. You are the guru. (GURU = Gee, you are you.)
So I'm not writing this as an expert bestowing expertlyness, but rather as an adventurer and creatrix of the golden age cavorting with fellow wayfarers & imagineers.
You have all the questions and answers, as you are all the questions and answers. We need only to quit pretending we don't...
"One mother describes her own experience with her 5 year-old. “We
were in the kitchen. I was cleaning out a cabinet and she was playing.
Out of the blue she said, ‘This is our last year, Mom.’
“Taken totally aback but definitely not wanting to startle her, I nonchalantly asked her ‘Oh yeah? Whaddya mean?’
“‘I mean, this is our last year to pretend. After this year we get to be real again. No more pretending.’
“I kept cleaning out the cabinet and asked her if she could explain any more. She said, ‘This is our last chance to get to pretend. After this, we get to be real again. No more chances for pretending because this is our last chance.’
“I did ask her (still nonchalantly but showing interest), ‘And this is a good thing, right?’
“‘Oh yes, Mom... a very good thing. We’ll get to be angels very soon.’" - "Indigo Children", Library of Halexandria
Bonus: "When I first saw the Princess of Disks, I was utterly captivated. [Me too!] I got a Scandinavian feel from her, particularly Finnish--which really made me identify with her, as I'm a quarter Finnish and a quarter Danish.
I made an immediate connection not only with the card, but also with the disk she holds. To me, it's the Sampo: a magical object forged by Ilmarinen the smith in the Finnish national epic 'The Kalevala'. The Sampo was supposed to be a three-sided mill, one side grinding out grain, one salt, and one money. Its lid is multicolored and even though it is eventually destroyed by Louhi, mistress of the North Farm whose daughter Ilmarinen courts, its fragments take root and continue to produce and symbolize prosperity. It makes perfect sense for the Princess of Disks, the earth of earth, to be holding the Sampo (who knows, perhaps she is the daughter Ilmarinen had been seeking to wed, born of witch-blood and proper bearer of the Sampo)." - posting by 'prosewitch' on the Aeclectic Tarot forum

If I needed proof for every miracle that life has given me, than I would spend eternity trying to find it.
You need only be aware that the path to freedom -- And, I mean the kind of freedom that we all desire and crave but cannot explain -- is to "enthusiasm." That's it.
If you're not enthusiastic about anything than you will suffer things like depression, despair, et al; However, if you are enthusiastic, and you don't have to force yourself, other than just to "know" and to "see" the beauty all around you, then my friend you will live in a state of grace I define as "freedom." The how to's and the what if's et al will cease to appear in you as you fuse with the higher self or the liberating consciousness of which science cannot explain. Then simply pay attention to the "signs" and "act" on them; they may prove to be a little bumpy every now and then, but this is simply an indicator that you are on "your" path.
Your path is the only one that counts for now, until you just "know;" then you can help others to see the way you do and to find their own "paths."
Most people live on auto pilot and I see this everyday, and just "knowing" this I am able to reach out to strangers and tell them things while listening to a voice or seeing an image in my mind that suddenly appears and I immediately say what I am seeing about that person. It never fails, and I have yet to make an enemy. I make people "think for themselves."
As for you I see that the little girl inside is desperately trying to get your attention; However, you keep having to see some validation -- whether it be Tarot Cards, horoscopes, or other people's writing. Then you back it all up, as if trying to convince yourself of what you already "know," And, there is no need for this anymore. Start to write about you, about your journey, about what good happened in your day, what bad too; only then will your posts come alive with the words that come from your heart instead of "thinking" them -- thinking will kill you dead in your tracks, and for people like me, we can see you "know" and wish that you shared your "knowing" with us through a new kind of narrative, one where there is no links to anyone else except what your "consciousness" is telling you.
If we all did this, the ones who just "know" then we would all learn to fine tune our awareness of our own inner selves, through the experience of "knowing" of others.
You have fused with the consciousness, so now let go and be one with it and share it with us.
You see, I told you I could see things; patterns that others do not see. This is not me saying this about me, but others comments to me about how they see me.
God Bless you on this next step,

Hi Evelyn,
I think I get what Michael is saying, but I also really like the "citations" - the tarot, the horoscopes, other people's writing, etc. I don't find them distractions but rather "by the ways" that will "ping" simply because of how they appear and where they lead.
And I think also that the beauty of this medium is its inherent dynamic nature. Your writing isn't linear - right-left - but instead goes deep, when I click on a link, and go deeper into webspace, down the rabbit hole and make all of these amazing discoveries that then bring me back to this current space when I go to the library and read the book, or mention the quote to a friend etc.
I imagine everyone has a different experience on this blog, which is really pretty cool.

Hi Michael & Nadine,
I think I know what Michael is saying too.
"...we can see you "know" and wish that you shared your "knowing" with us through a new kind of narrative, one where there is no links to anyone else except what your "consciousness" is telling you."
Actually that is not new kind of narrative, familiar to essays for instance. In some ways I jibe with the people of New Orleans with a predilection for live original music and street "just passing through" music, and in some ways, I grok the people of SF, with a predilection for remixing, and D.J. curation. Or, what Lawrence Lessig calls a remix culture: "a rich, diverse outpouring of creativity based on creativity."
I think if I am reading this correctly, is you would like me to not hold myself back so much, and rely less on others for guidance or substantiation. (Though there is no "other", even this so-called exchange is the Self talking to the Self for Our unfurling evolution.)
The truth is that apparently all my guides and signposts have vanished. I'm used to calling on Holy Spirit, God, or whatever one wishes to call It. Or guardian angel. Or Jesus, or Kuan Yin. No more. Vanished? Don't know. There is nothing "out there" guiding me at all. As they say, I'm my messiah. (You're your messiah.)
And so as I currently finding my cartesian reality crumbling rapidly, I find it co-inspiring and I breathe a sigh of relief when I find these other sources. They are corroborating what I've already kinetically sensed, "seen" or experienced but have trouble totally accepting because it doesn't fit "normal."
I don't even share 1/2 of 1 percent of what really goes on in my world, because I'm not sure (a) it's universally applicable (b) it shocks the bejesus out of most people.
A normal day LATELY for me has a friend texting me about how to deal with ghosts in his house (he's used to benign fifth dimensional light beings though), a stranger walking up to me at an outdoor plaza by a ritzy local mall - retired airlines agnostic never cared for anything he couldn't touch - telling me how he didn't become spiritual until his wife passed. And now he is now communicating with her in the other dimension everyday: "She is in another world similar to this; she thinks another dimension of Earth." And then finding out that a family member has had a UFO experience.
It's all fine when you read the Bible or Autobiography of a Yogi about rising from the dead and walking on water, and even when friends tell you that walking through walls tastes like chocolate, it's all still kind of distant -- but it's quite another thing when nothing, and not even time and space, are solid for YOU any longer.
"The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you will be astonished. Indeed, just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes." (John 5:19-21)
And so I think that Michael, what I will do is not hold back my Heart. And stop worrying too much about my virtue, reputation and to heck with appearances of normalcy.
So, as applies to "The Secret", who knows maybe 'money' can grow on trees (...the Tree of Life supplies abundantly.) And sometimes yes a mysterious sum is entered into your bank account anonymously. And yes, if your world will come sailing apart because you only want The Law of Attraction to work in a prescribed way because that's the way the Universe is supposed to according to __, you have actually entered into the Law of Limitation.

Wonderfully said Evelyn,
Adding to this thread I say humanity as a race is a historical accumulation of psychological and psychic distortions developed through the domination of ideologies that distract the individual from himself.
Translation: Freedom of the mind from all forms of domination.
Referencing my previous comment: Intention is to encourage you to keep writing; my suggestions are to make you think: to make you demand more of yourself, so that the creative spirit will shine through even more. I am happy I have found another that is not afraid of that which cannot be explained. The attempt to explain is unique to each of us just as creativity is; it is not a collective thing. Thus "sharing" our journeys and our discoveries and expressing them in any manner we want to is what I was getting at.
As for the secret laws of attraction -- no capitals -- that is a load of bull. Take a good look at who is the authority. And then visit their web pages and research them and you will see most are snake oil salesman who have figured out how to capitalize on the net; most importantly the net has opened a portal to the pain and suffering of so many in this world who are desperate. I have come across these people over the last four years and when the secret came out I was utterly upset by the feeding frenzy on the innocent victims of an intelligent marketing ploy.
I absolutely disapprove of this type of thing and I do not buy into the secret and the laws of attraction. Freedom of the mind from all forms of domination or attempted domination I say.
I hope this clears it all up; it was late when I wrote my previous comment, but I can assure you that I write from the heart and am very happy to share what I know with you and very glad that you are courageous too.
best, ~michael

Whew, what a day yesterday! Started off in realms of bizarro science fiction, and then slinked to the sublime deliciousness of Life languid. The bliss of Emptiness and Fullness herself. I may have to back what I said about feeling like I have no "guides" available. There is some truth to that, at some point the mama bird does scoot the baby bird out of the nest. These benevolent beings and entities are not there to create an eternal sense of dependency, but more often to serve as ROLE MODELS. Kind of like a big brother or big sister. So, they are backing off, letting me take the lead through my own calling forth of Will/Word, and learn to swim this infinitude of omnipotence and omniscience and omnipresence for my self.
Hark! My own diamond being buzzes with the same Radiant akasha.
Anyway, there is no individual consciousness nor individual creativity, and it is so blessed to create this Universe enmasse, mercurial molecules fluidly fluxing co-mingling in Light and Sound crystallized to matter divine. There are however quite beautiful firework displays of individuated fractal expressions of the All in All holographic field of expansiveness beyond limits.

yep, you're qualified alright. This is the internet, bloggers don't need to be qualified. But of cource, YOUR qualifications are self evident-- I really believe that. Except maybe in places like China where writing or even reading certain blogs might get you in trouble. Even the American military limits their soldiers to certain web sites. This is your blog and I have no desire to one up your qualifications- I don't think I could even if I tried. To create a blog like your takes guts as well as qualifications, and I know you have guts- that's why I like you.

Mystic, Of course I can write whatever I want here. I guess I wrote this post for the Googlers that would "accidentally" (ha!) stumble upon it on a search for the "The Secret" more than anything.
Ah, yes, guts, that's the way of the spontaneous nature of This. And I a yogini: "one of a class of powerful, fierce and often sexually alluring female demigods and human sorceresses who imitate or are identified with them; a female Tantric practitioner"
Crossroads, really stands for goddess Hekate, goddess of the crossroads, and her stance at the nexus of the past, present, future; heavens of Zeus, earth, and underworld, at Once.

Yes Evelyn,
You said,"And I a yogini: 'one of a class of powerful, fierce and often sexually alluring female demigods and human sorceresses who imitate or are identified with them; a female Tantric practitioner.'"
Yes you are and I see this now and this explains the 'energy' and the 'confidence' and the 'independence' I feel reading your posts.
Keep going woman. Nothing like soaking up the sun without a care in the world, hey?
I am happy to read this. This is "more of you" exposed, and its getting raw and wonderful.
Peace,
~michael
